 bias?\n\nBased on Nina Schneider's  recent book\, this lecture first explo
 res how a diverse but connected network of advocates in the Americas turne
 d child labor into a global concern. Unlike the tightly organized anti-sla
 very movement\, these opponents operated through a loosely institutionaliz
 ed network\, sharing similar tactics and platforms across borders. She als
 o address the methodological challenges of researching this history\, spec
 ifically the struggle to construct a global narrative that avoids Eurocent
 ric diffusion models and national biases\, a difficulty that ultimately in
 spired the book’s experimental structure.
