You will have an international learning experience that involves studying, training and conducting research in a number of European countries over a period of two years. The programme combines rigorous academic training in historical theory and practice with hands-on professional skills development. You will have the chance to study in three different European countries, spending the first semester at the University of Glasgow and the second semester at Radboud University in the Netherlands.

For the third semester, you can choose between five European universities. You can either study Bonn, at the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies, Wroclaw, Lisbon, Barcelona, or Nantes, depending on your chosen study track. Each semester, you will have a combination of core and optional courses, and the local program convenors will work with you to tailor a portfolio of courses according to your personal aims and objectives. In the fourth semester, you will write a research dissertation, typically at the university where you have spent your third semester.
