Research

Sarah Dusend currently focuses on women’s studies and travel writing in the Iranian and Arab world as well as mobility and pilgrimage in Islam. She is furthermore interested in Afghan and Pakistani contemporary historiography, culture of remembrance (Erinnerungskultur) and identity politics.
