Current Position

Sarah is responsible for the development and coordination of two MA programs, the development and coordination of the BCDSS PhD program and she coordinates the Heinz Heinen Fellowship Program. She is our Equal Opportunities Representative, too.

Research

I currently focus on women's studies and travel writing in the Iranian and Arab world as well as mobility and pilgrimage in Islam. I am furthermore interested in Afghan and Pakistani contemporary historiography, culture of remembrance (Erinnerungskultur) and identity politics.
