When and how to apply?

We accept applications between 1 April and 2 September 2024. Due to long visa application processes, we highly advise international students to apply as early as possible.

Statements by our Students & Teaching Staff

In this video series, we feature statements by our master's students and our teaching staff.

Join us as our students provide insights into our Master's programs, life in the city of Bonn, talk about their experiences and what they enjoy most about their studies. Our lecturers introduce themselves, explain what "Dependency and Slavery Studies" is all about and give insights into their teaching and research topics.

Ankit Chowdhury (MA Dependency and Slavery Studies)

"I am overwhelmed with appreciation and enthusiasm as I reflect on my first year as a Master's student at the University of Bonn. Bonn, often known as the 'City of Beethoven,' has presented me with a one-of-a-kind and stimulating academic and cultural experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life. The University of Bonn has been nothing short of a revelation for me. The university’s rich history, world-class faculty, and cutting-edge research facilities have created an ideal environment for intellectual growth. I've had the honour of studying from some of the best minds in my field and participating in thought-provoking debates that have broadened my perspectives. The University of Bonn is unique because it is dedicated to creating an international community. I've had the chance to collaborate and share ideas with students from various backgrounds. Even though I am thousands of miles away from India, the multinational culture on campus has helped me feel welcome."
