The Heinz Heinen Fellowship connects international scholars whose work explores SADs and slavery across all historical periods and cultural contexts. Fellows bring invaluable expertise to the Cluster, contributing actively and creatively to its intellectual life.
The program provides time and freedom for independent research while fostering exchange, networking, and collaboration. Fellows are invited to present their projects in the Fellows Seminar, participate in lecture series, workshops, and conferences, and may organize their own topic-driven events. Opportunities for publishing research in the BCDSS’s peer-reviewed formats are also available.
