Academic Profile

Sabine Feist focuses on the formative role of the Christian veneration of saints in late antique and early medieval societies. Particular attention is given to relics and their distribution and to the question how the availability of different relics determined not only their value, but also the circle of those who could come into their possession, who could establish sacral networks and who could buy sacral alliances.
