When and how to apply?
Apply now via our University of Bonn Online Application Portal for Graduate Programs.
We accept applications between May 15 and June 15, 2023 for national and international students and again between August 28 and September 4, 2023 for national students.
The international Master's degrees in "Dependency and Slavery Studies" and "Slavery Studies" serve as a preparation phase for our PhD program and are also open to other students.
A one-year Master's program in "Slavery Studies" is offered to students who have completed a four-year BA program (240 ECTS points), a two-year Master's program in "Dependency and Slavery Studies" to those who hold a three-year bachelor degree (180 ECTS points).
These Master's degrees will provide students with new insights into area studies and historically and philologically oriented subjects. They will offer access to newly developed and empirically proven analytical tools for the investigation of complex dependency problems and resulting options for actors.
The cluster professors and researchers will bring their teaching and research experience into the Master's programs by jointly focusing on interdisciplinary questions and topic areas. With the establishment of those two relevant international Master's programs, the cluster will strive to promote the University of Bonn as an attractive destination for German and international students.
