Creative Spaces for BCDSS Community
This initiative proposes a series of low-threshold, non-judgmental creative workshops designed to cultivate mental well-being, psychological safety, and joyful community connection. By engaging tactile, sensory, and intuitive art practices, participants can step outside academic and management work and reconnect with their creative agency.
No previous experience is needed!
Program:
Deconstruct & Reconnect
Using existing printed materials to explore intuition, visual juxtaposition, and personal narratives.
Materials: discarded papers, magazine cutouts, textured scraps, old newspapers, cissors, glue

Unlock the Mind
Demystifying drawing and overcoming the fear of the blank page through guided, playful exercises like blind contour drawing (drawing without looking at the paper) to release control and embrace spontaneity, continuous-line portraits and still-life objects and meditative repetitive pattern drawing (repetitive mark-making, intuitive geometry).
Materials: Any kind of paper you like, pencil (or colour pencils, markers, pen) and eraser.

Working with the fluid, unpredictable nature of water and pigment to encourage letting go of rigid control of everday life.
