The Bonn Center for Reconciliation Research (BZV) and the BCDSS are jointly organizing this conference to explore visual representations of war captivity in the 20th and 21st centuries. The conference will focus on the performativity, reconciliation, and irreconcilability of war captivity, examining how visual representations of prisoners of war relate to the prospect of reconciliation and the role of prisoners of war in visual media.
