Located in the university’s main hall (Aula), the BCDSS station centres on a guiding question: What does it mean to make something right? Participants will explore scenarios of everyday injustice before engaging with the history of German colonialism in Namibia, including the dispossession of Herero and Nama communities and ongoing debates around apology and reparation. They will encounter perspectives from Herero and Nama communities, German politicians, activists, and descendants, and be invited to reflect and share their own views.
The station is designed and run by the BCDSS PR team in cooperation with PhD researcher Viviann Wilmot.
Please spread the word! We look forward to welcoming curious young minds on the day!
